Ingredients and their Benefits


1.    Chamomile has anti-septic and healing properties. It has a calming, soothing and anti-inflammatory effect, which reduces puffiness and cleanses pores of impurities. Alpha-bisabolol is another ingredient in chamomile that promotes granulation and tissue regeneration. Chamomile oil has also great wound healing properties and is extensively used with skin problems such as rashes, hypersensitive skin and allergic conditions.

2.    Licorice along with Vitamin B3 inhibits the formation of melanin and instantly lightens skin, giving it whiteness, radiance and glow.

3.    Yogurt contains lactic acid and enzymes that hydrate and sooth the skin, leaving it soft and smooth. The cleansing properties that aid in digestion, also helps to purify the skin.

4.    Lactic acid from milk exfoliates and hydrates the skin.

5.    Niacinamide strengthens the skin barrier function. It helps to moisturize and soothe the skin while also imparting a lighter and even looking skin tone.

Apply a few drops of face wash on moist skin, massage for 2 minutes and then rinse off well.

1.    How many skin types are there and how do I know my skin type.

There are 4 skin types and you can choose your skin type as per the information given below:

  1. Normal skin has the perfect balance of oil and moisture. This skin types does not look dry and dull or oily and shiny. This is perfect skin and is very rare.
  2. Dry skin can be oil dry and /or moisture dry. Oil dry skin has less oil and looks dull while moisture dry skin has less moisture and is also called dehydrated skin. It always feels tight and is more prone to premature ageing.
  3. Oily skin has more oil, has a shinny appearance and is acne prone.
  4. Combination skin is oily on the T-Zone comprising the forehead, nose and chin and dry on the cheeks and neck.
  5. Sensitive skin is a skin condition. This skin gets easily irritated and experiences burning, flushing, rashes and other allergies when exposed to sun and also with the use of products not suited for such skin. All skin types can be sensitive so it is imperative that persons with sensitive skin use products that are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and specifically formulated to avoid irritations.

4.    Can I use soap to cleanse my face?

No. There are different tools for different jobs. Soaps are harsh and have a high pH. It is not recommended that you use a body soap to cleanse your face.

5.    Is it better to use one type of cleanser for morning and night?

Yes. We advise that you use Cheryl’s DermaLite face wash twice daily. After cleansing always hydrate your skin by using a toner like Cheryl’s Skin Freshner.

6.    Should I exfoliate my skin and how often?

In addition to daily cleansing it is also advisable to gently exfoliate your skin once or twice a week depending on your skin type. This will remove dead skin and make your skin glow. We recommend you use Cheryl’s Clarifi Buffing Grains after cleansing.

7.    How much cleanser should I use and how long will it last?

Use 2-3 drops of Cheryl’s Dermalite face wash twice a day and the cleanser should last for a month. You will need to use more for removing makeup.

8.    How do I remove the cleanser from my face?

Rinse your face preferable with tepid, luke warm water for removing the cleanser. Do not use tissue as this will only smear dirt and debris around your skin instead of properly removing it.

9.    Do I need to take a professional treatment before using DermaLite Face Wash?

No. DermaLite face wash is a regular skin lightening face wash.
